Relationships are hard. No one will tell you it's easy, but that doesn't mean they're impossible either. Relationship problems come up in every couple at some point- most of the time, we can work through them and move on. However, sometimes relationships just aren't meant to be, and there's nothing left for us to do but let go.
If your relationship seems like it might be headed towards a breakup, here are ten signs your relationship may be in trouble:
You feel like you're the only one putting in an effort. If this is starting to sound familiar, it may be time to ask yourself if your relationship has what it takes. Relationship problems are almost always a two-way street; no matter how much work you're doing on your end, if your partner isn't reciprocating, things aren't going to get better anytime soon, and they might even continue getting worse over time.
If you find that there's worse than good days lately... This can sometimes happen when people drift apart or lose interest in each other for whatever reason but don't necessarily want to call off the relationship just yet because of all their memories together or simply not knowing where else they would go! Or maybe they are afraid of being single or, worse, getting back together with an ex! Relationship problems like these can be hard to deal with, so if you find yourself feeling this way about your partner more often than not, it might be time to take a step back and figure out what went wrong.
You don't feel safe around them anymore. A relationship is built on trust, but that trust has been broken into pieces at some point. After many years of emotional ups and downs in the relationship. Of course, there will always have differences between partners where one party feels betrayed by another despite having good intentions towards each other most times resulting in resentment for their actions which leads us onto our next sign. Not knowing whether we should believe anything they say any longer- Relationship trouble.
You feel like you're constantly walking on eggshells. This is a sign that one, or both of you, are feeling angry and frustrated most of the time. When this happens, it's usually because one person continuously makes the other feel bad about themselves without even realizing it. Relationship problems like these can be tough to deal with, so it might be helpful to talk to someone who can help you get your perspective straight- whether that means talking to a therapist or just venting to a friend.
The chemistry is gone. If things used to be passionate and exciting between you two, but now all of that seems like a distant memory, there may be trouble in paradise. People change over time, and sometimes, we outgrow our partners. When this happens, it's important to remember that you two are still individuals who deserve happiness- Relationship trouble.
The relationship has become a chore. This is the last stage before breaking up for most couples! Relationship problems like these can be tough to deal with because we may feel stuck in relationships where there seems to be no future or hope of things ever getting better between us, then one day, out of nowhere, either party decides enough is enough! Relationship advice given by professionals suggests seeking marriage counseling if possible, but sometimes circumstances outside our control, such as time constraints, make it difficult. You don't have anything left in the joint anymore. If your conversations seem forced and always revolve around small talk about work/kids/what happened on Game Of Thrones etc., it's a sign that you two are growing apart. This can be tough to deal with, especially if you've been together for a long time, but sometimes it's best to admit that things aren't working out and move on- Relationship trouble.
Your partner is always criticizing you. If your partner is constantly putting you down or making fun of you in front of other people, this is humiliating and emotionally abusive. Relationship problems like these need to be addressed immediately because they will only worsen over time! No one deserves to feel bad about themselves all the time simply because they're in a relationship with someone who doesn't know how to treat them with respect and kindness- Relationship abuse.
You don't feel happy around them anymore. Relationship problems like these are tough to deal with because you might not even realize that the relationship is making you unhappy until it's too late. Relationship advice given by professionals suggests seeking marriage counseling if possible, but sometimes circumstances outside our control, such as time constraints, make it difficult.
They're always putting their friends before you. If your partner doesn't seem interested in spending quality alone time together or they constantly cancel on plans last minute without an explanation, this could be a sign of something bigger! Relationship problems like these can be hard to identify at first so remember- whether we want to admit it or not, everything has consequences and effects, which means one person may feel neglected while the other feels guilty about ignoring us instead of being happy.
Your partner is always flirting with other people If your partner is constantly flirting with other people or they've been known to cheat in the past, and this is a sign that there may be trouble in paradise. Relationship problems like these are never easy to deal with and, unfortunately, more often than not, end in breakups. However, if you're both willing to work on things, then it's possible to save the relationship!
You don't feel sexy or desired by them anymore. This one speaks for itself. If you don't feel sexy or desired by your partner anymore, it's probably because they no longer find you attractive. Relationship problems like these can be hard to deal with but remember that you're still beautiful, no matter what your partner says or does!
They never want to do anything new If your partner is always suggesting the same old dinner and movie dates or they're not interested in trying new things, this could be a sign that they're becoming complacent in the relationship. Relationship problems like these can be dangerous because they often lead to one person feeling trapped while the other feels stuck in a rut.
